‍My name is James, and I live near Honley, West Yorkshire in the United Kingdom. I’ve worked in the IT / Telecommunications industry for over 30 years and currently, I am a senior network analyst.

‍I have always had a love of watches since I had my first Transformers cereal packet watch back in the early 80’s. I even had one of those digital calculator watches which were almost impossible to use!

‍I have recently started to take an interest in watch building after I was finding it hard to find exactly the watch I have always wanted, which has lead me onto learning how to build watches.

‍I mainly use Japanese Seiko movements due to their reliability and easy modification, but I also will be creating watches using other movements such as Miyota and Seagull.

‍

‍I absolutely love open display backs, so you can see the movement, so on all my watches that have an open back, I will be fitting a custom hare rotor to change things up a little and keep with the animal theme.

‍You can already tell by the name of this site, I have a thing for moose. Where does it come from? I have no idea but I have owned the domain for over 26 years!
